The Chippewa County Historical Society and Genealogical Society are housed in the Parish of Notre Dame's former convent at 123 Allen Street. The Area History Center offers exhibit rooms displaying period furniture, mementos and photographs. Also visit the 1894 Goldsmith Memorial Chapel. It is located in the Area History Center, next to Nortre Dame Church on the East Hill. The building, built in 1883, was formerly the Notre Dame Convent. |

Cross Country Ski Trails

This 2.5 kilometers ski trail is located along the Chippewa River, approximately 2.5 miles north of the City of Cornell. Two separate trails challenge intermediate and advanced skiers through rolling terrain to return along the gentler grade of the River Road to the parking area. Beginning skiers will find the River Road itself to be a good place to practice their strides. |
