The Chippewa County Historical Society and Genealogical Society are housed in the Parish of Notre Dame's former convent at 123 Allen Street. The Area History Center offers exhibit rooms displaying period furniture, mementos and photographs. Also visit the 1894 Goldsmith Memorial Chapel. It is located in the Area History Center, next to Nortre Dame Church on the East Hill.  The building, built in 1883, was formerly the Notre Dame Convent.

Largest 15 miles of cross-country skiing on a groomed, flat or hilly and open track in both Eau Claire County and in west central Wisconsin, disc golf, hiking trails and pit toilets can all be found here.

The ski trails include wooded, rolling terrain, and are groomed and tracked on the highest priority basis of the four ski trails offered by the county.

Riverview Park & Island is no different than most other Eau Claire parks - it's connected to a body of water. Riverview Park lies along the Chippewa River on the city’s north side. An arched bridge crosses the river leading to an island where you can access the river’s backwaters for Yellow warblers, Willow Flycatchers and song sparrows.

Come visit the Chippewa Valley Areas largest Fall attraction and pumpkin farm. Located only 2 miles south of Eau Claire off of Hwy 53. 5.20 acres of land to build Engel's Great Pumpkin Patch offers hay wagon rides on a custom built hay wagon out to the pumpkin field to pick your own Pumpkins, Gourds, Squash, and Corn.

This 2.5 kilometers ski trail is located along the Chippewa River, approximately 2.5 miles north of the City of Cornell. Two separate trails challenge intermediate and advanced skiers through rolling terrain to return along the gentler grade of the River Road to the parking area. Beginning skiers will find the River Road itself to be a good place to practice their strides.
